National Historic Ships National Historic Ships is a government funded, independent organisation which gives objective advice to UK governments and local authorities, funding bodies, and the historic ships sector on all matters relating to historic vessels in the UK. I completely redesigned their Access database and moved it into MySQL. Fat Beehive (see Partners) are in the process of putting the database online for their office and for the public; I will then design an Access froint end and a comprehensive set of reports. www.nationalhistoricships.org.uk

People's Trust for Endangered Species

The People's Trust for Endangered Species' work is varied and extensive ranging from direct support for conservationists to involving the public and volunteers in practical action to help specific species and habitats. I designed a database for the applications they get for projects, working alongside Fat Beehive (see Partners) for the web site. I designed for a SQL Server back end database, and designed a front end database in Acces with forms and for reporting.www.ptes.org


ONSIDE Onside Independent Advocacy supports and empowers disabled and disadvantaged people in Worcestershire to ensure that they have their voice heard and their wishes made known to others. I designed a database that covers all the areas of their operations, including advocacy, Life Links, Appropriate Adult scheme and volunteering, as well as administrative data management, event management and report production for funders. www.onside-advocacy.org.uk


Surrey Young Carers Surrey Young Carers offers free impartial information and support to young carers. They aim to promote the needs of young carers in all child care and adult settings. I am completing the design of a database which tracks the support given to youg carers and includes client monitoring, meetings, event management and the production of reports for funders. www.surrey-youngcarers.org.uk


CHILD CONCERN CONSORTIUM Child Concern Consortium is a group of five small children's charities raising funds together since 1994. Each of their member charities works in a different way to help vulnerable children, offering years of experience and expertise and touching the lives of many thousands of children each year. I rescued a database from poor work by a previous developer, re-wrote much of it, and now support and develop it.


Derman - health related service Derman provides a range of health-related services to Kurdish, Turkish, and Turkish Cypriot people, mainly refugees and asylum seekers in both Hackney and Haringey. The services include health advocacy, mental health support, mental health advocacy, counselling, family support and welfare rights advice for individuals and families who have been torn apart by war, torture and trauma. Pilotlight - charity mentoring service Pilotlight is set up to address the need of small charities who have expertise to address the needs of their beneficiaries but do not have, and could not afford to buy, the time and skills to develop their own infrastructure. I designed a database that stores charities and mentors, and tracks the process of matching them together, including meeting and event schedules. www.pilotlight.org.uk

London Community Recycling Network - sustainable resource management
The London Community Recycling Network is a registered charity that works to make community-based sustainable resource management the first choice for the people of London. Working from warehouse projects, furniture and white goods are collected from donors and redistributed to people on benefits. I designed a database to handle collections and deliveries for projects throughout London, and in Croydon and Essex. www.lcrn.org.uk


Abbey Solutions Abbey Solutions was established in 1999 by John Abbey. The consultancy provides high quality innovative solutions to charities, NGOs, Foundations and individuals. They focus on fundraising, communications, strategic planning, research, recruitment and advising donors on funding. In 2005 they began working internationally, helping NGOs with their strategic planning and fundraising, project evaluation and communications. Complete redesign of web site.


TUFF - the Telecommunications UK Fraud Forum MICAF - the Mobile Industry Crime Action Forum TUFF - the Telecommunications UK Fraud Forum is constituted for the exchange of information and the promotion of a united effort against telecommunications fraud, and MICAF - the Mobile Industry Crime Action Forum is an organisation set up by the United Kingdom mobile telecommunications industry, including mobile handset manufacturers, to address the issues of mobile phone theft. I redesigned both these web sites as well as modifying the CMS database behind it.


Jazz Services is a registered charity representing the UK jazz community. Best Web Site Award from the 2005 All-Party Parliamentary Jazz Appreciation Group Jazz Services Limited - the National Organisation for UK Jazz A client for over twenty years, I was responsible for the web site that in 2005 won the Best Web Site Award from the All-Party Parliamentary Jazz Appreciation Group at the Houses of Parliament. I recently Project Managed a move to a new interactive web site which allows people in the jazz community to enter their own data. I designed their original database for nearly 20,000 contacts, and continue to provide support for their web site, databases and overall IT management. www.jazzservices.org.uk


Londonwide Local Medical Committees - professional body representing London GPs Londonwide Local Medical Committees is the professional voice for London's 6000+ GPs and their practice teams across the capital. I initially designed a database for LLMC many years ago, and it has grown and been built on as the company has grown to be much more public-facing. The database has over 10,000 main records and is used by over 10 members of staff for tasks varying from large emailshots to organising events. I have also designed a secure private database for use by LLMC caseworkers, available through secure authentication on the internet to administrate court proceedings and other confidential actions involving GP members. www.llmc.org.uk

Southwark Council - running the London Borough of Southwark
Southwark Council run a Park Ranger Service which covers 153 parks and open spaces in Southwark, including Burgess, Dulwich, Peckham Rye and Southwark Parks. They have been a client for many years, over which time I have designed three major databases, all of which are still in use. I originally designed a pitch booking database for football, cricket and other sports, and have recently designed an audit database for parks equipment and fittings (such as fencing, gates and playground equipment). However, the main database is for repairs and maintenance, including repair reporting and budgeting. www.southwark.gov.uk

Birmingham Local Medical Committee - professional body representing Birmingham GPs Birmingham Local Medical Committee represents and supports General Practice to ensure that GPs are properly valued and their skills properly utilized in serving the public. I have worked with them for many years now, producing a database to handle thousands of individual and organisation contacts, and I designed and continue to maintain their web site. Northamptonshire Race Equality Council
Northamptonshire Race Equality Council undertake industrial tribunal casework as well as monitor racial abuse. A client for over 10 years, I designed and support a database to carry out all casework and racial incidents as well as manage the organisation's administration contacts.
